Google Business Profile management for every location

Your Google Business Profile is where customers decide to visit, and where they come back to leave their review. ReviewTactic keeps it complete, current and active at every location, with fixes that go straight to Google.

Short answer: Google Business Profile management, or GBP management, means keeping your Google listing complete, accurate and active. ReviewTactic scores each profile, drafts fixes with AI, writes them to Google once you approve, and publishes posts, for one location or fifty. It is part of every plan.

Why a complete profile helps you earn customers and reviews

Google is direct about it: "Businesses with complete and accurate info are more likely to show up in local search results. If your business info isn't accurate, your Business Profile might not show up for relevant searches in your area" (Google Business Profile Help).

The same page says photos and videos let you "tell the story of your business". That is the Earn side of profile work. Every customer who finds you, visits and has a good experience comes back to this same profile to leave a review. Right hours, the right category and fresh photos and posts mean the people who find you are the people you can serve well.

Accuracy also slips on its own. Google says that "if sources report that your profile info is incorrect or outdated, Google may update your profile", and that a suggested edit you do not answer within 4 days may be published automatically (Google Business Profile Help). ReviewTactic checks every listing daily and flags changes you did not make.

One thing Google also makes clear: "There's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google." The work is keeping the profile right, every week, at every location. That is the part ReviewTactic does with you.

How to manage your Google Business Profile with ReviewTactic

1

Connect your Google profile

Sign in with the Google account that manages your Business Profile. Every location on it shows up in ReviewTactic.

2

See the health score

Each profile gets a score out of 100 and a list of issues, such as a thin description, missing services or a weak category.

3

Fix it, then approve

AI drafts the fix: a description, category suggestions, services. You edit it, apply it, and ReviewTactic writes it to Google and logs the change.

4

Keep it active

Publish Google Business Profile posts drafted from what your customers said in recent reviews, and add new photos. The health score updates after you publish.

GBP management for multiple locations

Each location is its own profile on Google, so each one needs its own care. In ReviewTactic every connected location has its own health score, fixes and posts, and you move between them in one account with one bill.

  • Bulk edits. Change hours, including holiday hours, or other details across many locations in one go instead of profile by profile.
  • New locations are picked up automatically. Add a location on Google and it appears in ReviewTactic within a day.
  • Posts in each location's voice. Drafts come from that location's own reviews, so a post for one site talks about that site.
  • Reviews and replies in the same place. The profile, its reviews and its replies sit together, location by location. See multi-location review management for pricing at 1 to 25 locations.

Self-serve or a done-for-you Google Business Profile management service

The profile tools are in every plan, from $39 a month. On Starter and Growth you or your manager apply the fixes and posts. On Managed, our team runs it for you: profile optimization, weekly Google posts and a quality check on replies. Month to month, no contract.

Compare the plans on pricing. Prefer to do it by hand? The Google Business Profile optimization checklist walks through every field.

Listings management, starting with Google

Listings management usually means keeping the same business details on many directories at once. ReviewTactic does Google listing management in depth: your profile on Google Search and Maps, every location, every week. It does not push your details to Bing, Apple Maps, Yelp or Facebook today.

If what you need is one system syncing hundreds of locations across many directories, a listings platform is built for that. See how ReviewTactic compares with Yext. If your profile has been suspended, that is a different job: see Google Business Profile reinstatement.

Works with the rest of ReviewTactic

  • Earn: more reviews from real customers, landing on the profile you keep in shape.
  • Answer: AI replies to every review, published to the same Google profile.
  • Rank: a map grid that shows where each location appears on Google Maps, so you can see what changes after the profile work.

FAQ

What is Google Business Profile management?

It is the ongoing work of keeping your Google listing complete, accurate and active: hours, categories, services, description, photos and posts. Google says businesses with complete and accurate info are more likely to show up in local search results. ReviewTactic scores each profile, drafts the fixes and writes them to Google once you approve.

Can I manage several Google Business Profiles in one account?

Yes. Every location you connect gets its own health score, settings and posts, and you switch between locations in one account. Changes like holiday hours can go to many locations at once. When you add a new location on Google, ReviewTactic picks it up automatically within a day.

Does ReviewTactic change my Google profile directly?

Only when you apply a fix. You review each change first, then ReviewTactic writes it to Google through your connected account. Every change is logged.

Which plans include Google Business Profile management?

Every plan includes the profile tools: Starter, Growth and Managed. On Managed, our team does the work for you, including profile optimization and weekly Google posts, so it runs as a done-for-you Google Business Profile management service.

Is this the same as Google My Business management?

Yes. Google My Business was renamed Google Business Profile, so Google My Business management and GBP management mean the same job: keeping your listing on Google Search and Maps complete and current.

What happens if someone suggests an edit to my profile?

Google says it may update your profile when sources report your info is incorrect or outdated, and that if you do not respond to a suggested edit within 4 days, it may publish the update automatically. ReviewTactic checks each of your listings every day and flags details that changed without you, so you can put them right.

Do you manage Google Business Profile Q&A?

No, because Google retired it for outside tools: the My Business Q&A API was discontinued on 3 November 2025. Customers now ask questions in Google Maps directly, and Google says Maps uses reviews and information it finds online to surface tips about places. Complete profile details and recent reviews are what you can control.

Do you manage listings on Bing, Apple Maps or Yelp?

Not yet. ReviewTactic manages your Google listing on Search and Maps. It does not push your details to other directories today. If you need one tool to sync hundreds of locations across many directories, a listings platform such as Yext is built for that.

Will managing my profile improve my Google ranking?

Nobody can promise that. Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and popularity, that complete and accurate info makes a profile more likely to show up, and that there is no way to pay for a better local ranking. A complete, active profile gives Google and customers the most to go on.
