Product
What is ReviewTactic?
ReviewTactic is an AI-powered Google review management platform built for restaurants. Connect your Google Business Profile and the AI generates personalized, professional replies to every review within minutes. Learn more →
How does AI review response generation work?
ReviewTactic uses Claude Sonnet AI trained on your restaurant's menu, tone, and past reviews. Negative reviews get a draft for your approval. Positive reviews can be published automatically. Learn more →
What review platforms does ReviewTactic support?
Currently we focus on Google Business Profile reviews — the most impactful platform for most restaurants. Yelp and TripAdvisor support is planned.
What languages can ReviewTactic respond in?
The AI automatically detects the review language and responds in kind. English, Hungarian, German, French, Spanish, Thai, Arabic and 20+ languages are supported.
Can I edit AI replies before publishing?
Yes. Negative reviews (1-3 stars) always create a draft you can edit, regenerate, or rewrite manually. Positive reviews can be set to auto-publish, or you can approve each one.
Can I use ReviewTactic for multiple locations?
Yes. The Growth plan includes up to 3 locations. For 6+ locations, contact us for managed onboarding.
Pricing
How much does ReviewTactic cost?
Self-serve pricing starts at $0.49 per positive reply and $0.99 per negative reply. A typical restaurant pays $18-35/month. The Done For You managed plan is $149/month including 100 AI replies. Learn more →
Are there hidden fees or contracts?
None. No setup fee, no annual contract, no cancellation fee. Connect your Google account, use it as long as you want, disconnect when you want.
What is backlog processing?
If you have months of unanswered reviews, ReviewTactic processes them all in 48 hours for a one-time fee. Typically $40-80 for a full backlog clear.
How does per-reply pricing work?
You only pay when the AI generates a reply. If you get 30 reviews in a month and respond to all, that's roughly 30 × $0.49-0.99 = $15-30. No monthly minimum.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Disconnect Google in settings and billing stops immediately. No cancellation fee, no retention calls, no 30-day notice period.
Google compliance
Is ReviewTactic safe for my Google ranking?
Yes. ReviewTactic is fully compliant with Google's review policies. It does not incentivize reviews, does not practice review gating. A 100% response rate is a positive local SEO signal. Learn more →
What is review gating and why did Google ban it?
Review gating is when a business asks customers if they were satisfied first, then only directs happy ones to Google. Google banned it in 2018. The FTC fines $51K per violation. Learn more →
Can I offer rewards for Google reviews?
No. Google prohibits offering incentives in exchange for reviews (discounts, freebies, points). Rewarding visits is allowed — just don't tie the reward to leaving a review. Learn more →
How does ReviewTactic handle fake reviews?
ReviewTactic detects suspicious reviews (new accounts, non-specific content, competitor patterns) and drafts AI-powered appeals citing specific Google policy violations. Learn more →
Does AI responding violate Google Business Profile terms?
No. Google does not prohibit AI-generated responses. What matters is that the reply is relevant, professional, and made on behalf of the business. ReviewTactic does exactly that.
Setup & technical
How long does setup take?
Under 10 minutes. Connect your Google Business Profile via OAuth, set your tone preferences, and ReviewTactic starts generating replies immediately.
What data does ReviewTactic access from my Google account?
Only reviews and replies. We don't read your email, personal data, financials, or any other Google account data.
Is the OAuth connection secure?
Yes. We use standard Google OAuth 2.0 protocol. We never store your Google password. Access can be revoked anytime from your Google account settings.
Do I need a Google Business Profile to use ReviewTactic?
Yes. ReviewTactic reads reviews and publishes replies through Google Business Profile. If you don't have a GBP, you need to create one with Google first.
Does ReviewTactic have an API?
There is no public API currently. For multi-location customers we build custom integrations — contact us.
AI quality
What AI model does ReviewTactic use?
We use Claude Sonnet 4.6 from Anthropic — one of the strongest language models available. Not ChatGPT, not generic AI. Fine-tuned to your restaurant's context.
Why are AI replies better than templates?
Templates say the same thing for every review. ReviewTactic AI reads the specific review, references mentioned dishes, and responds in your tone. The difference is immediately visible. Learn more →
How does the AI handle negative reviews?
Negative reviews always get a draft — never auto-published. The AI acknowledges the complaint, apologizes where warranted, and suggests a resolution. 15+ settings to customize. Learn more →
Can I customize the tone?
Yes. Formal, friendly, casual — you set it. Provide your menu, specialties, and brand voice. The AI learns from these.
How is ReviewTactic different from generic AI tools?
Generic tools (Birdeye, Podium) use the same AI for every industry. ReviewTactic is built specifically for restaurant context — menu, cuisine type, hospitality-specific tone. Learn more →
